This Road Trip takes advantage of the Anzac Day public holiday on Thursday 25 April, allowing us to ‘get out of town’ on the Wednesday evening.

From the camp at Wannamal we’ll head north to Jingemia Cave, Mingenew, Mullewa and on to Murchison.

Out of Murchison we’ll do the Erabbiddy Bluff Loop, returning to the Carnarvon Mullewa Road 10m km north of the roadhouse. Next stop is a pioneer well and 20 kilometres further on we’ll turn off to Wooramel River Gorges. Bilung Pool is 9 kilometres up the track. We’ll stop at Gascoyne Junction to refuel and resupply before tackling the Kennedy Ranges from the west side. Overnight in the vicinity of Mundary Well.

The next morning we’ll start the climb up the plateau and the head east across to the spectacular views from the battlements. The descent on the eastern side of the range takes us to Mt Sandiman Station. Our Route takes us south on the east side of the Kennedy Range, visiting Honeycomb Gorge, Draper Gorge and Temple Gorge. We’ll pass through Gascoyne Junction on the way to Carnarvon, from where we will follow coastal tracks to Shark Bay before heading to Perth.
